Baoulé Loom Pulley - Ivory Coast

Dimensions of 21 x 8.2 x 6.7 cms.
Weight approximately 1,400 kg without packaging.
Materials: Bronze.
Presumed age: Before 1950.
Bronze loom pulley, the handle of which represents a male face with Baoulé cannons.
Such pieces were offered to the best weavers during special ceremonies. They are not intended for weaving.
The bronze, with superb detail, is full. The part is extremely heavy.
Very nice patina, seeming to show traces of handling.
